Seagate Beach Club Plans Major Renovation for Its Oceanfront Restaurant and Clubhouse

The venue will also renovate the hotel guest rooms, lobby, dining, and meeting rooms in the coming months.

The Seagate in Delray Beach is undergoing property-wide renovations, including a significant refresh of the Seagate Beach Club. The two-story, 250-seat, 3,500-square-foot oceanfront clubhouse will be receiving substantial upgrades. The clubhouse closed on May 20 and is scheduled to reopen in October. During the enhancements, members and hotel guests can still access the beachside pool, Shoreline Grille, the outdoor bar, and full-service beach amenities.

“The Seagate Beach Club has a storied history in Delray Beach, creating memories for locals and visitors alike, and we are so excited to unveil the new clubhouse in the fall,” Alex Schnoeller says, Managing Director of The Seagate.  “Members and hotel guests are thrilled with our Golf Course and Golf Club renovations, and they will be equally pleased with the new Beach Club.”

The Seagate renovation will involve architectural and interior design updates from New York’s Dash Design. The interiors will reflect the building’s Colonial style, incorporating classic design elements to create an airy and artistic ambiance, as stated by Dash Design. The main entrance will be adorned in a stylish soft blue, welcoming guests to breathtaking ocean vistas.

On the first floor, spanning 1,650 square feet of indoor dining space and a 1,907-square-foot terrace, there will be a revamped dining area, cocktail bar, and staircase adorned with rich cream, blue, and tan tones. The bar area will be elevated to optimize the panoramic views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

The second floor comprises 1,714 square feet of indoor dining space and an 860-square-foot terrace. It will function as a dining and bar lounge featuring calming sage and olive-green color schemes in the architecture and furnishings. The seating arrangement is designed for enjoying cocktails and small bites.

The Seagate Beach Club has catered to Delray Beach members and hotel guests since the 1950s. Following damage from Hurricane Wilma in 2005, a new two-story clubhouse was built to replace the original structure. It recently completed a major renovation to The Seagate Golf Club, including its Joe Lee-designed 18-hole championship golf course and practice facilities. World-renowned architect J. Drew Rogers oversaw the renovation.

The Seagate also recently refurbished its 41,064-square-foot Golf Clubhouse. The clubhouse now features a dining room offering lunch, brunch, and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating options. Additionally, it includes a grand ballroom, dining room, grille room, and courtyard. The renovation encompassed architectural enhancements in the lobby, meeting rooms, event spaces, locker rooms, corridors, and outdoor patio.
