The Broward Public Library Foundation’s signature Night of Literary Feasts returns April 17–18, 2026, offering an immersive weekend that blends literature, community, and exclusive culinary experiences. Tickets are on sale for the highly anticipated Night of Literary Feasts, on Saturday, April 18, where guests can connect with acclaimed authors in a uniquely personal setting.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a Welcome Reception at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, where attendees will meet featured authors, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, browse book sales and signings, and take part in a lively silent auction.
The celebration continues with a series of intimate dinners hosted throughout the community, giving guests rare access to dine alongside their favorite writers.
Readers are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as space is limited.
This year’s event is led by co-chairs Alexa Lanier and Ellen Crane, with honorary chairs John and Jennifer Uustal. Their leadership helps bring together community supporters and literary enthusiasts for one of Broward County’s most celebrated cultural fundraisers.
The weekend also includes LitLIVE!, a free event on April 17, featuring moderated author panels, book sales, and signings. This is an ideal opportunity for the public to engage with the featured writers and enjoy insight into the writing process. LitLIVE! is sponsored by Nova Southeastern University and the NSU Alvin Sherman Library.
The Literary Feast silent auction opens online on April 13, offering exciting items such as travel experiences, hotel stays, and more available for bidding. Attendees may place bids throughout the week leading up to Feast and during the event. The Silent Auction is sponsored by Ryder System, Inc.
Proceeds from Literary Feast support Broward County Library programs, making this inspiring weekend not only a celebration of books, but an investment in literacy and lifelong learning.
