Beauty and the Bay

The natural setting of new residential enclave Park Grove inspires its design by world-renowned architecture firm OMA led by Rem Koolhaas. Unusual in its serene beauty, the community is already popular with buyers searching for ultra-luxury condominiums surrounded by green space and exceptional art.

At 2701 S. Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove across from Biscayne Bay, Park Grove’s first phase of 297 condominium residences were 80 percent sold within their first six months of launch. “We are converting reservations to contracts now,” says co-developer David Martin, president and co-founder of Terra Group. “It’s gratifying to see how enthusiastically buyers have embraced our vision, which respects Coconut Grove’s history and natural beauty while creating magnificent residences with superb views and lavish amenities.”

A high percentage of Park Grove’s buyers are local residents who will live there year-round, says co-developer Jorge Pérez, The Related Group’s founder and an urban planner. A 20-year resident of Coconut Grove himself, Pérez adds that the community’s unique character is particularly attractive to those who appreciate its singular artistic vibe. “Always a haven for artists and other creative souls, the Grove is more relaxed than Brickell and more family-oriented than Miami Beach,” he says. “Our project offers a cosmopolitan lifestyle that’s perfect for those who love the tropical urban setting.”

OMA and Koolhaas designed Park Grove to have a fresh and sophisticated residential ambience that celebrates and enhances the natural setting that is home to the community’s three towers, which will be LEED Silver certified. These are situated within a 2-acre sculpture park designed by Enea Landscape Architecture and feature public spaces filled with world-class art and recreational amenities that include 500 linear feet of swimming pools and raised decks with private cabanas. Landscaped garden areas featuring an outdoor amphitheater and indoor and outdoor yoga areas, round out the public spaces.

A state-of-the art fitness center and spa are planned for Park Grove, along with a private club that expects to host curated events and private musical performances by celebrated artists. It will also feature a library with a media room and a large dining area with a full-service kitchen presided over by an acclaimed chef.

Residents will have access to butler service and a 24-hour concierge and valet, as well as their own wine cellars and locker spaces with storage for bicycles and watercraft.

A private business center is also planned, offering a boardroom with video conferencing capabilities and integrated media systems.

Residences at Park Grove are priced from $2 million, and range from 2,200 to 3,600 square feet. They offer expansive bay and city views, plus kitchens and baths designed by William Sofield.

Park Grove’s groundbreaking is scheduled for this year, with completion of Phase I expected in spring 2017. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales for the community. ?
