Leadership Change at Joe DiMaggio Children’s

With a slate led by Andrew Greenfield, new leaders were elected and members added at the most recent Board of Directors meeting of the Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundations.

Andrew Greenfield, M.D., president of Envision Physician Services Anesthesia was named board chair, following the term of Tom Oliveri (Northern Trust), who becomes immediate past chair. Doug Gawrych (Grant Thornton) moves into the role of first vice chair and Brett Rose (UNCS) ascends to second vice chair. Other leaders include: Treasurer Elden LeGaux (LCP), Secretary Carl Schuster, Esq., and at-large members Susanne Cornfeld Hurowitz, Beth-Ann Krimsky, Esq., and Lawrence D. Share.

“We’re fortunate to have some of South Florida’s top executives commit to helping provide the highest quality patient and family-centered care,” says Kevin Janser, senior vice president and chief development officer for Memorial Healthcare System. “Their volunteer efforts enable us to deliver many of the programs and services that make a difference for those at our hospitals.”

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is one of the region’s leading pediatric hospitals, offering a comprehensive scope of healthcare services and programs in a child-friendly atmosphere. A full-service hospital, the hospital treats everything from minor illnesses, trauma-related accidents and some of the most complex medical conditions.

Established in 1992, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital combines advanced technology and the expertise of the largest, most diverse group of board-certified pediatric specialists in the region. With its summer 2011 expansion, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital now has 226 beds and is South Florida’s newest freestanding children’s hospital.

The foundations also added the following members to its Board of Directors: Amaury Cifuentes (Blue Key Advisors), Gregory Greene (Ryder, retired, and Barry University), Christopher McFarlane (Flomex Capital Investments), Seth Siegel (Grant Thornton) and Benjamin Tobias (Tobias Financial Advisors).

The board is comprised primarily of regional business leaders, physicians, and senior executives dedicated to raising money to support the mission of the Memorial Healthcare System. Their philanthropic efforts through the Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundations assist patients, families, and underwrite the cost of programs, facilities, and equipment at six hospitals and numerous healthcare facilities.
