MG Developer Secures $67.5 Million Loan to Build The Village at Coral Gables

The property is set for completion by the second quarter of 2025.

MG Developer, a real estate developer based in Coral Gables, has recently closed a construction loan worth $67.5 million with Churchill Real Estate to finance the Village at Coral Gables project. The groundbreaking ceremony for the development is anticipated to occur this month.

The Village at Coral Gables, a 48-residence collection of townhomes, lofts, villas and flats, is exclusively sold by One Sotheby’s International Realty. The project’s assembly will pay tribute to Seville, Spain’s aesthetic beauty and lifestyle and continue the legacy of Coral Gables’ founder, George Merrick, and his vision for “The City Beautiful.” This new enclave is designed to honor the city’s past while offering modern-day luxurious comforts for discerning buyers.

“We are truly excited to now be entering the construction phase of The Village at Coral Gables,” Alirio Torrealba says, CEO of MG Developer. “It’s been a true labor of love from the initial planning phase to now. I couldn’t be prouder to be partnering with Churchill to provide the financing for this highly anticipated community. We are looking forward to a fruitful and long-term relationship for more projects in the future that will continue to elevate the City of Coral Gables.”

The upcoming Village at Coral Gables development will be situated across 17 lots, encompassed by Malaga Avenue, Santander Avenue, Segovia Street, and Hernando Street. The properties will feature diverse styles and sizes, including luxurious two-bedroom flats with a study room and balcony and charming four-bedroom townhomes spanning from 1,750 to 3,100 square feet. The project will also incorporate beautifully landscaped gardens, courtyards and fountains, taking cues from alcoves in the Plaza de España.

“We are thrilled to partner with MG Developer for the financing of The Village at Coral Gables,” Jeff Rosenfeld says, who, along with Sean Robertson, Co-Heads Originations at Churchill Real Estate. “MG Developer has a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects, and we are excited about MG bringing this highly anticipated development to life. We are excited to support MG Developer in their commitment to elevating The City Beautiful and look forward to our continued partnership and future projects.”

The recreational amenities in The Village at Coral Gables are thoughtfully designed, including a wellness clubhouse spanning nearly 4,000 square feet, an indoor and outdoor terrace lounge ideal for events and gatherings, a fitness wing, a luxurious plunge pool, and a library and conference center. These amenities are perfect for residents who enjoy remote work and require high-speed Wi-Fi and a large monitor screen for virtual meetings. With its impeccable design, this village raises the bar for modern living.
