Casa Bella by B&B Italia Breaks Neighborhood’s Price Record With $12.6 Million Penthouse Contract

Related Group’s 56-story condominium tower offers 317 residences, ranging from one to four bedrooms.

Miami-based real estate developer Related Group and its partner, Alta Developers, recently revealed that Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia has garnered almost $50 million in signed contracts within the last 60 days. This includes a contract for a 5,893-square-foot triplex penthouse on the 54th floor, which costs $12.6 million or $2,138 per square foot. This sale marks the most expensive condominium transaction in Downtown Miami’s Arts and Cultural District in terms of price per square foot.

“Related takes pride in creating exceptional residential properties that stand out from the rest,” Nick Pérez says, president of Related’s Condominium Division. Casa Bella exemplifies this philosophy with two defining features: an unbeatable location in the heart of Miami’s city center and an elegant Italian-inspired design envisioned by B&B Italia’s very own Piero Lissoni. The recent surge in sales activity is a testament to the major appeal this project has among buyers who recognize its inherent design quality, as well as the remarkable benefits associated with the burgeoning growth of Downtown Miami’s urban core.”

The Casa Bella project is the first residential partnership for the well-known Italian design house, B&B Italia. It is recognized globally for its luxurious collaborations with prestigious names like Hermès, Rolex, and Rolls-Royce. The building boasts Arquitectonica’s architecture and interiors by Piero Lissoni, the creative director for B&B Italia. With the help of the B&B Italia team, every detail of the construction is designed to be a haven, providing a sophisticated Miami style inspired by contemporary Italian design.

Casa Bella at 1400 Biscayne Blvd. is a luxurious 56-story tower that offers 317 residences, ranging from one to four bedrooms. All residences feature high ceilings, breathtaking views, private elevator access, state-of-the-art kitchens with top-of-the-line Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and a selection of European fixtures. The crown jewel of Casa Bella is the Penthouse Collection, which comprises 10 carefully-designed homes with seven unique floor plans. Among these, two triplex residences on the 54th floor boast private rooftop terraces, spa pools and indoor/outdoor summer kitchens with water views. One of these triplexes is currently available for $12.3 million. In addition, the 54th floor is also home to two duplex penthouses, spanning over 4,100 and 4,560 square feet in size and priced between $8 million and $10 million.

Casa Bella boasts an impressive array of amenities spread over two floors, offering views of Biscayne Bay. Among these amenities are a generously-sized party room, a wine vault and tasting lounge, a state-of-the-art private theater and co-working spaces. The Wellness Center is designed to cater to fitness enthusiasts, providing professional-grade equipment, yoga and spin rooms, and a spa that offers a range of on-demand services, including massages, facials, blowouts and manicure/pedicures.

The Casa Bella site is currently undergoing demolition and the groundbreaking is expected to occur in the summer of 2023. Fortune International Realty has been appointed the building’s exclusive sales and marketing agent, with Olga Monson leading the sales team.

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.
