Grover Corlew Marks the Official Opening of Mayla Pompano

The project was first brought before the city in 2018.

The opening of Mayla Pompano, a 355-unit multifamily residence with high-end studios and three-bedroom open floorplan rental units, was recently celebrated by Grover Corlew. The real estate investment management group owns the residence and the rejuvenation of 2335 Atlantic, an adjacent office and retail mixed-use project.

“Mayla Pompano is the first in a series of new ground-up luxury multifamily developments that we have underway in Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach and Delray Beach,” says Grover Corlew Partner Anuj Grover. “This is a milestone for Grover Corlew as we fulfill our long-term vision for this property in the heart of eastern Pompano Beach. We are particularly thankful to the City of Pompano Beach, the Pompano Beach CRA and our amazing team for all the hard work and collaboration needed to bring our vision to reality, which will have a significant impact on the future of Pompano Beach.”

“This project represents a true team effort, from vision to completion,” says Broward County Commissioner Lamar Fisher. “It’s a proud moment for Pompano Beach. We are excited to see its impact on our city.”

Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin said the project required significant decisions to move forward and he expressed pride in how the development set a new standard for future projects in the area, emphasizing its importance to the local community. Pompano Beach’s Vice Mayor, Andrea McGee, expressed her enthusiasm for the project and commended the final product for surpassing expectations.

Located at 11 NE 24th Ave. in Pompano Beach, Mayla Pompano is adjacent to two Class A office and retail properties, 2335 and 2401 E. Atlantic, owned and managed by Grover Corlew. Grover Corlew has invested over $200 million to create the mixed-use project, which includes ground-floor retail, restaurants, and plaza areas to complement the Mayla Pompano lifestyle-oriented community.

“We’re excited to share that Mayla Pompano is already more than 75% leased, and our 2335 Atlantic office and retail complex nearly fully leased,” says Grover Corlew Partner Mark Corlew. “This project has been a tremendous success, and we’re eager to continue that success as we grow the Mayla brand.”

Mayla Pompano residents enjoy exclusive access to various amenities, including a clubroom, co-workspaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style pools with cabanas, bicycle storage, ample parking garages, and more. At the heart of a 6,932-square-foot public pedestrian plaza, the living and working spaces converge around a new public art installation titled “Gather” by world-renowned San Francisco-based artist Michael Szabo Michael Szabo.

Mayla Residences are under construction across South Florida and are designed to reflect the character of their local communities while enhancing the quality of life for residents. The 312-unit Mayla Cypress Creek is set to commence construction in Fort Lauderdale in late 2024, with developments for a 360-unit Mayla Hillsboro and a 271-unit Mayla Congress also in progress in Deerfield Beach and Delray Beach, respectively.
