Delray Beach-based retailer Levenger recently announced a new CEO.
Margaret Moraskie was appointed to the position last month after working as Levenger’s chief marketing officer, the company said in a release.
“I’m thrilled to take the helm of Levenger as we drive growth across all product categories,” said Moraskie. “Currently we are focused on the needs of those working from home and studying remotely. We are introducing beautiful products to enhance flexible and portable workspaces.”
Levenger was founded by Steve and Lori Leveen in 1987 and is known for selling fine home and office products such as portfolios, stationery, luxury pens, leather briefcases and bags and its award-winning Circa planners.
Moraskie worked as the senior vice president of consumer analytics and intelligence at Chico’s FAS. Before Chico’s, she worked for 20 years at Boston Proper in merchandising, inventory and ultimately marketing. She was also senior vice president and was named a Total Retail Top Woman in Cross-Channel Retailing finalist for leading marketing and e-commerce efforts. The release notes she is also a board member of the Women in Retail Leadership Circle and received a bachelor’s in marketing at Boston College.
“Margaret’s experience in marketing, merchandising and e-commerce brings a unique combination of in-depth knowledge and essential skills to the CEO role,” said Steve Leveen in the release. “We are excited that she will be leading the way to drive growth for our iconic brand.”
Added co-founder Lori Leveen, “Margaret brings great experience and intelligence to her CEO position, but also abundant energy and passion for our mission to support readers, writers and creative professionals in all fields. She cares deeply for the team and Levenger customers. Look for exciting new products and programs under her leadership.”
