Florida Automobile Dealers Association Welcomes Ed Morse Into its Dealer Hall of Fame

His namesake’s business is one of the nation’s fastest-growing and most respected automotive and motorcycle dealer groups.

The Ed Morse Automotive Group is honored to have its founder and namesake, Ed Morse, inducted posthumously into the Florida Automobile Dealers Association’s (FADA) Dealer Hall of Fame. This official ceremony was held last week in Orlando to recognize Florida’s most influential automotive dealers who have made significant contributions as pioneers and leaders within the industry and their communities.

Ed Morse, who passed away in 2012, was the founder of one of the most esteemed automotive dealer groups in the U.S. and is remembered as a legendary pioneer in the industry. More than 75 years after Ed established the organization, his grandson, Teddy Morse, who serves as Chairman and CEO, is dedicated to furthering the family’s legacy. Under his leadership, the company has grown to include 57 dealership locations and employs over 2,800 people nationwide. For six consecutive years, they have exceeded the $1 billion sales milestone and have expanded their presence into states such as Arizona, Texas, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Colorado and Oklahoma.

“My grandfather was a war hero, an automotive trailblazer and icon, generous supporter of the South Florida community… but most importantly, he loved his family, country, and employees above the rest,” says Teddy Morse, CEO and Chairman of Ed Morse Automotive Group.  “His induction into the FADA Hall of Fame is a huge honor for the Morse family, the Morse organization, and all the employees who blossomed under his leadership.  Thank you to the Florida Automotive Dealers Association for this prestigious recognition.  My grandfather would have been extremely proud.”

Born in 1921, Ed Morse joined the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator on a B-25 bomber during World War II. On a mission in the South Pacific, after the pilot was wounded and the co-pilot was killed, Ed played a crucial role in safely flying the aircraft back to their base in New Guinea. This bravery earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross, one of the highest military honors in the nation.
