Konro Delivers Unforgettable Dining Experience in West Palm Beach

The culinary destination is open Wednesday through Saturday with only one seating nightly (6:45 p.m.).

Konro delivers an exclusive and exceptional dining experience in Palm Beach County. Focused on precision and technique-driven cuisine, Konro stands out for its personalized hospitality, setting it apart from other fine-dining establishments. Created by chef Jacob Bickelhaupt and sommelier Nadia Bickelhaupt, this ten-seat, tasting-menu-only concept provides an intimate and private dining experience. The Bickelhaupts’ hands-on involvement ensures meticulous attention to every detail, resulting in a seamlessly harmonious meal.

“Konro was designed to be as much an extension of our home as it was a dining experience,” says Nadia, who guides the entire evening as Jacob creates edible art on his plated canvas behind her, nestled inside the U-shaped chef counter.

Upon being seated, diners receive an overview of the upcoming culinary experience. Nadia begins by serving a luxurious French Champagne in elegant stemware. The dining journey consists of 10 to 14 thoughtfully crafted courses, unfolding over approximately 2½ hours. Priced at $390 per person, the tasting menu experience excludes additional tax, gratuity, and beverage pairings. Throughout the evening, guests are guided through a masterful culinary expedition with a seamless progression. Before presenting each dish or beverage, Nadia and Jacob enthusiastically detail each pairing and welcome questions. The absence of a conventional barrier fosters organic conversation and personal interaction between the guests and Nadia and Jacob. Additionally, guests can select wine pairings curated by Nadia or non-alcoholic house-made beverage pairings crafted by the Chef for each course.

“The thoughtfulness that goes into each pairing is its own adventure,” says Nadia. “Jacob and I speak our own language and are so deeply connected that based on my descriptions and my wine pairing tasting notes, even though he doesn’t drink, he is able to create the most symbiotic N/A pairing and vice versa. Ultimately, what we’re aiming for is something that complements the dish yet also beautifully echoes the alcohol pairing in flavor, viscosity, and mouth feel.”

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
