Häagen-Dazs, according to an Axios study of Yelp data, is not only the nation’s most premium ice cream brand on the market (little air, lots of butterfat, and only five ingredients are the winning formula), but it’s also the most heavily represented ice cream in Miami. Not bad for a company that started in 1976 in Brooklyn with a made-up, Danish-sounding moniker. Never underestimate an amulet (that pair of dots over the first a)—or a name that evokes European quality.
