VSE Corporation Expands Again in Miramar

This investment—and the addition of 110 high-wage jobs—marks a major boost for Broward’s fast-growing aerospace economy.

In a move that cements Broward County’s growing role in the aerospace industry, VSE Corporation has begun relocating its corporate headquarters to the Miramar Park of Commerce—marking the latest phase of the company’s rapid expansion in South Florida.

The transition follows VSE’s April 2024 acquisition of Turbine Controls, which added nearly 38,000 square feet to its existing presence in the Park. Now, the aviation repair and logistics giant is converting an additional 13,000 square feet—formerly a test kitchen—into its new corporate offices. Renovations are already underway, with the full headquarters move scheduled to wrap by early 2025.

VSE has operated in the Miramar Park of Commerce since 2014, steadily growing from a 37,000-square-foot lease into a 142,000-square-foot footprint across multiple buildings. The company’s latest $3.5 million investment and the creation of 110 high-wage jobs reflect a deepened commitment not just to Miramar, but to the broader aerospace ecosystem taking shape across Broward.

That commitment is further reinforced by VSE’s February 2025 divestiture of its Fleet division—Wheeler Fleet Solutions—to One Equity Partners for up to $230 million. The sale completes VSE’s transformation into a focused aviation aftermarket provider, sharpening its operational priorities and solidifying its role in the region’s aerospace economy.

For Broward businesses, the ripple effects are substantial. VSE’s expansion will attract engineering and executive talent, fueling demand for housing, hospitality, and professional services. The relocation also creates new opportunities for local vendors and partners across logistics, technology, compliance, and infrastructure.

Miramar’s location—close to major highways, seaports, and both Miami and Fort Lauderdale international airports—offers the logistical advantages companies like VSE depend on. That’s a major reason the Park of Commerce, already home to more than 40 healthcare and aerospace firms, is operating near capacity.

To meet future demand, developer Sunbeam Properties is preparing to break ground in late 2025 on The Park Miramar, a 126-acre mixed-use expansion that will include nearly 3,000 residential units, office and retail space, a hotel, and over five miles of trails and green space—all designed to attract and retain the skilled workforce companies like VSE rely on.

As Broward’s aerospace sector gains altitude, VSE’s headquarters move signals more than just a corporate relocation—it marks the region’s evolution into a destination where companies can scale, recruit talent, and thrive. For financial leaders and investors, it’s another clear sign that Broward’s next economic chapter isn’t just on the horizon—it’s already in flight.
