SFBW 2016 Up & Comer Awards finalists announced

SFBW is excited to announce the finalists for its second annual Up & Comer Awards.

The Up & Comer Awards were created to honor young professionals who have achieved excellence in their careers, shown a commitment to their community and demonstrated leadership. The categories are Banking, Construction, Education, Healthcare, Finance, Hospitality, Insurance, Law, Marketing & Media, Non-Profit, Professional Services, Public Relations, Real Estate, Retail and Technology/Utilities.

Nominations were sought from the public and judging was led by Editor-in-Chief Kevin Gale, who has 30 years of experience as a business journalist in South Florida. More than 150 applicants were chosen as nominees and 80 were selected as finalists.

The judging criteria were:

  • Seniority in the organization and the size and scope of the organization
  • Professional accomplishments, included career path and specific achievements
  • Giving back through professional, charitable and civic achievements
  • Educational achievements

The winners in each category will be announced during a cocktail reception and an awards ceremony at The Venue in Wilton Manors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16. (Click here to purchase tickets) Winners will also be featured in the July issue of SFBW.
