Now there’s a smart way to get to the City of Light. French Bee, the upstart 7-year-old airline, now offers direct service between Miami International Airport and Paris Orly Airport. Miami joins Los Angeles, San Francisco and Newark, N.J. as convenient gateways to Paris. (French Bee also offers a direct route from San Francisco to Papeete, Tahiti.)
“From France, the Miami route choice was a natural connection because it is a dreamy destination for Parisians—and a gateway hub to cruise ports to additional attractive leisure destinations,” says French Bee’s president, Marc Rochet. “With the access that French Bee’s Miami service provides, we are pleased to see both Paris and Miami forge more economic and tourism ties.” With 411 seats, the aircraft offers two classes—economy and a 35-seat premium economy option.
Anyone who has flown into France understands the ease of Orly as opposed to the larger Charles de Gaulle. “Orly is an overall less congested and more convenient location for travelers flying in and out of Paris,” Rochet says. “Many legacy carriers and larger carriers already have spots at CDG, so we offer a favorable location to passengers because it only takes 20 minutes to travel via car into the city versus 40 to 45 minutes from CDG airport.”
To Rochet, the fleet’s technology is a big drawing card: “French Bee’s flights are operated by an all Airbus A350 fleet, [and that airplane is] recognized as one of the world’s most modern and efficient aircrafts. The Airbus A350 is outfitted with the latest generation in innovative design and technology. Mood lighting mimics sunrise and sunset with 100% LEDs—improving sleep quality and reducing jet lag.”
