Lipstick Lounge Returns on Thursday

Leave it to breast cancer survivor Tammy Gail to continue putting a fashionable spin on advocacy work meant to ensure that other women diagnosed with the disease “are treated with dignity.” That’s the impetus behind Glam-A-Thon, the nonprofit campaign Gail launched in 2006 that, to date, has raised more than $700,000 for breast cancer programs and awareness.

The organization’s signature fundraising event—Lipstick Lounge—returns to W Fort Lauderdale (401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.) on Sept. 21 (8-11 p.m.) for an evening that once again combines high-style and gourmet bites.

This year, Lipstick Lounge is partnering with Sawgrass Mills and its luxury Colonnade Outlets on a series of pop-up shops amid the chic Living Room space overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the W. Professional models from a Miami-based agency will be on hand to showcase fashion from the likes of Valentino, Balmain, St. John, Anne Fontaine, Herve Leger and other high-end stores.

In addition, expect delicious fare from restaurant partners including Steak 954 and El Vez, as well as DJ entertainment and a silent auction. Visit glam-a-thon.com/lipstick-lounge for complete details.
