Art as an asset is on the rise

UBS has published a special edition of its Investor Watch Pulse Report, to coincide with 2018’s Art Basel in Miami Beach. For this edition, UBS surveyed 175 HNW fine art collectors with at least $5 million + in investible assets from November 14-26, 2018 on their collecting habits. Overall, the findings reveal that wealthy, US-based fine art collectors are actively looking to add to their collection in 2019, with 60 percent are buying online and 65 percent are seriously consider buying art after first seeing it on social media.
