The daily struggle of being a mother of young children is certainly not unique to Jaclyn Strauss (pictured) of Fort Lauderdale. Like many during the past year, Strauss was juggling full-time work, elementary-aged children and the COVID-19 realities while trying to maintain her peace of mind. Strauss realized that she could turn the everyday struggles of pandemic parenthood into true community impact. “I am one mom on a mission to make a difference and help people,” she says. Strauss is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by professional training; however, she has been very diversified in her 19 years of professional experience ranging anywhere from being an accounting professor at Broward College, the PTA Treasurer of the local elementary school to a mid-level executive at a Fortune 100 company. Strauss’s true passion, however, is for empowering others. Her purpose? To show people that they can have the power through knowledge and simply asking for help and by leveraging a vital tool she created to digitally organize what is important to them. For Strauss, this is the critical ingredient for true peace of mind. When vital information is not in order, it is hard to take inventory, let alone find it. In the event of an unplanned absence, having loved ones be able to locate what is needed for them is vital, so they know without facing searching through endless piles of paperwork to try and make sense of things. Strauss realized that this scenario would not be ideal for anyone, whether you are the “point” person in your household or not, an adult child of an aging parent, or simply someone looking for greater efficiency in your life today.
