Tesoro Club in Port St. Lucie Attracting Buyers From Palm Beach County

The Tesoro Club, a gated golf club community in the heart of Florida’s Treasure Coast, exceeded its projections by closing out 2023 with over 80 home sales. The community spans 1,490 acres and offers homes ranging from 2,000 to 7,500 square feet, priced anywhere from the high $600,000s to over $4.5 million. In the last year, the Tesoro Club has undergone a remarkable transformation under the leadership of a new ownership team consisting of Timothy Jones, Roderick O’Connor, and Tucker Frederickson. The partners have been instrumental in elevating this exclusive, master-planned community to new heights of excellence, each contributing extensive expertise in real estate and private club management.

“We are so pleased with the overwhelming response we’ve received for Tesoro Club, with the home sales in 2023 exceeding all of our projections,” Tim Jones says, Managing Partner. “This year is off to a great start, and we are looking forward to an even more robust year ahead.”

The Tesoro Club area has several builders, including WCI Communities by Lennar and Toll BrothersEcclestone Signature HomesGHO Homes, and Janssen Construction. The home sales in this area consist of contracts and closings on new and existing homes.

“We are seeing such a strong demand for homes in Tesoro Club. Home buyers are coming to us from throughout the country and Florida, with a particularly strong interest from those in Palm Beach and Broward counties,” Jones says. “Our buyers are drawn to the championship Arnold Palmer golf course, our luxurious amenities, the nature and tranquility, as well as the value.”

The Arnold Palmer Championship Golf Course at Tesoro Club underwent an extensive 18-month renovation and reopened last year. During the renovation, the golf course was redesigned to meet the highest standards of the PGA Tour. Last year, it served as the venue for the PGA Tour’s 2023 Honda Classic qualifying event and the Q-School second-stage qualifier. The course will host the PGA Tour Cognizant Classic Open Qualifier on February 25-26.

The Tesoro Club has recently made significant upgrades and additions to its facilities. The club has installed new lighted pickleball courts and has upgraded the Swim & Racquet Club’s facilities, which span over an area of 22,000 square feet. The Watson Course, another one of the club’s attractions, is scheduled to undergo a complete renovation, with the date yet to be announced. The clubhouse at Tesoro Club, inspired by classical designs, is a magnificent structure overlooking a 120-acre lake, serving as the club’s centerpiece.

Individuals seeking information on membership or available real estate can visit the Community Welcome Center, open daily at 125 SE Via Tesoro Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
