A pair of Carnival Cruise Line passengers made off with $12,800 worth of sculptures from Carnival Legend, says the FBI. Surveillance footage revealed that the two passengers, during a voyage to Bermuda, snatched a piece of artwork by Robert Wyland called Kiss the Sea, which the FBI estimates is worth $6,200. The other sculpture recovered is Tappin’ the Keys for the Love by Marcus Glenn, worth $6,600, the FBI says.
The ship had departed from Baltimore, where the couple lives, and that’s where the FBI recovered the artworks—which are small enough to stow in a piece of luggage—after executing a search warrant.
Carnival Cruise Line is based in Doral.
