Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber Announces 2025 Downtowner of the Year

Robert Lochrie III will be honored at a luncheon on May 9.


The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce has chosen Robert B. Lochrie III, Esq., Partner at Lochrie & Chakas, P.A., as the recipient of the prestigious Downtowner of the Year Award for 2025.

The award will be presented at a celebratory luncheon on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown Event Center at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions to Fort Lauderdale’s growth, civic life, and legal excellence, Mr. Lochrie has played an instrumental role in shaping the city’s dynamic downtown landscape. His work has left a lasting impact on the community through leadership in land use law, public policy, and strategic development initiatives.

“The Downtowner of the Year Award honors individuals whose leadership and vision have helped elevate Downtown Fort Lauderdale as a vibrant center for business, culture, and community,” said Denise Jordan, Executive Vice President of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. “Robert’s unwavering dedication and influence have made a significant and lasting difference. We are thrilled to recognize his achievements.”

This annual event draws top business, civic, and community leaders for a celebration of excellence and commitment to Fort Lauderdale’s ongoing vitality and success.
