Jupiter Medical Center Partners With UF Health

Jupiter Medical Center will partner with UF Health, the University of Florida’s academic health center, to develop plans to transform health care delivery, research and education in Palm Beach and Martin counties and surrounding areas.

The partnership aims to advance the organizations’ complementary missions of providing the best academic and community medicine. The organizations will plan the development of jointly owned and operated clinical facilities in the region. In addition, discussions are set to begin on developing novel clinical and hospital programs and service lines, as well as programs and services that support the translation of research findings into treatments that improve patient outcomes.

“We are seeking to expand our impact on the health and well-being of the residents of Palm Beach and Martin counties, bringing additional services to match the needs of patients in the area,” David R. Nelson, M.D. says, senior vice president for health affairs at UF and president of UF Health.

The relationship could also enhance access to an extensive array of clinical trials and focus more on addressing individual health needs and managing population health. Additionally, the agreement will enable other community and academic organizations to maximize the impact of this educational collaboration.

“We are excited to collaborate with UF Health, the premier academic health system in Florida, to advance our delivery of world-class health care and provide access to groundbreaking clinical research for our communities and the region,” Amit Rastogi says, M.D., MHCM, president and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “We have a shared vision for innovation that encompasses state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge medical technology and the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence/data science to bring the highest-quality care in a compassionate manner to each and every patient.”

This latest venture for UF is part of its ongoing commitment to UF Health in South Florida. UF also is working with Palm Beach County and the city of West Palm Beach to explore a downtown campus featuring an array of graduate programs in artificial intelligence, financial services and financial technology.

“We are excited to work with Jupiter Medical Center to better understand the needs and wants of the local community and be the best partner we can be to help transform health care in the region,” Nelson says.
