Rene Ruiz Collection in Miami Marks 30 Years in Fashion Industry

Its Coral Gables location is open and accepting appointments.

Celebrating 30 years since its inception, the Miami-based fashion house, Rene Ruiz Collection, has launched a new store in Coral Gables at 2960 Ponce de Leon. The brand aims to cater to the luxury market, providing a unique blend of Miami’s glamour with the finesse of luxury craftsmanship. It offers beautiful designs for women of all ages and sizes, suitable for all occasions. The design team is led by Creative Director Luis Escudero, who has been associated with the Rene Ruiz Company since 2008 and has previously worked with several other leading fashion designers in Miami.

The Coral Gables atelier offers its clients a personalized design and styling experience. The design team provides bespoke recommendations tailored specifically to each client. They specialize in styling women for various occasions, including weddings, galas, mitzvahs, quinceañeras, prom, homecoming, and more. The stylists work with clients to curate a collection of evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, separates, and jumpsuits or even create a couture design that is exclusive to the client.

A following for the luxurious, original, and cosmopolitan designs created by the design team has been established among A-list celebrities like Ana Navarro, Gloria Estefan, and Rebel Wilson, as well as South Florida tastemakers. The team’s focus on high-quality fabrics from the top mills in Italy, France, and Turkey, along with their personalized attention to creating and tailoring each garment, has contributed to their international success.

The design team utilizes various details from the special event, including venue, season, formality, color scheme, and fashion style, to create a personalized look for each client. Sample-makers, trained in the timeless tradition of couture sewing techniques, take careful measurements of the clients and make necessary alterations to their garments to ensure a perfect fit. The consultations usually last for an hour.

The corporate office of Rene Ruiz Collection is in Hialeah. The brand has established its boutiques in several locations, including Hallandale Beach, Boca Raton and Manhasset, NY. Rene Ruiz Collection has become a cornerstone of the South Florida community, known for dressing notable community leaders and television personalities for galas and social events.

Corporate Social Responsibility holds great importance for the CEO of Rene Ruiz Collection, Brad Rosenblatt. The brand extends its support to nonprofit organizations through in-kind donations used as auction or raffle items at fundraising events, thereby contributing to the organization’s cause. Additionally, the brand sponsors local nonprofit events and hosts charity fashion shows to aid these organizations in their efforts.

“Celebrities and luxury retailers alike have trusted the Rene Ruiz Collection for 30 years due to the fact that we have consistently delivered high-quality, luxurious and beautiful dresses that allow women to look and feel their best,” Rosenblatt says. “We’re proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Rene Ruiz Collection and expand the brand with the opening of our Coral Gables atelier.”

The newly opened Coral Gables atelier is currently accepting appointments. The turnaround time for alterations is estimated to be four to six weeks, while special orders may take eight to twelve weeks, and custom orders may require 12 to 16 weeks. For those interested in the ready-to-wear collection, it is available immediately or with minor alterations within a few weeks. The Coral Gables location is closed on Sunday and Monday but is open from Tuesday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Our team of designers at the new Coral Gables atelier create couture designs using the highest quality luxury fabrics sourced from all over the world,” Escudero says. “Shoppers are immersed in a bespoke experience with personalized recommendations tailored just for them.”

The Rene Ruiz Collection can be found at various company stores in Manhasset, NY, as well as in Boca Raton and Hallandale Beach. It can also be found at exclusive department stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s, along with over 40 specialty stores nationwide, including QVC and Rent The Runway.
