Among the different accomplished C-level executives that will be celebrated on the evening of Oct. 27, there is a category dedicated to the presidents of companies.

Here are the biographies for the president honorees:

President honoree for Miami-Dade: Alex Rodriguez-Roig, Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade

Alex Rodriguez-Roig
Alex Rodriguez-Roig

Rodriguez-Roig came to the United States from Cuba at age five and believes in helping less-fortunate children by providing them hope, freedom and opportunities. He brings this belief to his position as president of the organization, a role he has held since 2003.

Early in his tenure, he concentrated on bringing financial stability to what was a 65-year-old organization. He diversified and expanded its $4 million annual funding sources, and increased its unrestricted cash reserves from just over three weeks’ to three months’ worth. Since that time, the organization has been thriving financially.

In 2015, he was honored with the Torch Award for Community Leadership by the Florida International University Alumni Association. In 2014, he was named a Lifestyle Media Group Up & Comer in the nonprofit category. He lives in Miami with his wife and children.

President honoree for Broward: Edward Pozzuoli, Tripp Scott

Pozzuoli, a Martindale Hubble-rated AV lawyer, was elected president of the firm in 1999. Previously, he chaired its litigation practice. As a litigator and negotiator, he has extensive experience handling state, county and local government issues.

He focuses his practice on educational and commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on constitutional and governmental litigation, administrative and election law. In the 2000 presidential election, he was a member of the Bush-Cheney team and was involved in the recount litigation. He also served as co-chair of Jeb Bush’s 2002 gubernatorial campaign, and has contributed to Fox News and Forbes magazine. He was named by Gold Coast magazine as one of the “most powerful people in Broward County.” He has received the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Award of Excellence, the American Diabetes Association’s Valor Award, and the Republican Party’s Spirit of Lincoln award.

He holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of Miami. He has served as a director for UM’s National Alumni Association.

More than 25 years of health care staffing experience have helped Anenberg lead the largest division of publicly traded Cross Country Healthcare to the forefront of the health care-contingent labor industry. Under her leadership, Cross Country Staffing’s revenues have grown from $55 million to more than 10 times that by the end of 2015.

She joined Cross Country Staffing after a successful tenure at Procter & Gamble. She brought focus to Cross Country’s branding strategy and helped it pioneer managed-service programs in the health care labor space. Today, it’s one of the largest and most comprehensive health care labor service providers in the country.

Anenberg has been recognized as a leader of change by numerous publications, and was the subject of a story in Working Mother magazine about her progressive employment options for working parents. Additionally, she has been praised as a builder of high-performance company cultures, as evidenced by nearly a decade of awards and recognition by Top Training and Great Places to Work magazines.
