Xtreme Action Park reopens

Xtreme Action Park has reopened and welcomed over 250 guests on its first day after receiving permission from Broward County officials to open go karting, roller skating and food and beverage services.

The attraction on Powerline Road, just north of Commercial Boulevard, in Fort Lauderdale had to furlough over 75 percent of team members while closed for over 10 weeks due to COVID-19.

“Xtreme Action Park is the largest indoor entertainment venue in South Florida employing over 200 members in the Fort Lauderdale community before closing in March,” said David Goldfarb, co-owner at Xtreme Action Park and owner of PrimeTime Amusements. “Like many other small businesses, we are still trying to survive. By reopening, we can slowly start to bring our team back together.”

In order to reopen, Xtreme Action Park had to develop and implement a safety plan to be presented to Broward Counmty Mayor Dale Holness. This consisted of detailed protocols that are in compliance with CDC, county and city guidelines. It offers a custom guide outlining every activity inside the 200,000 square foot park, including the introduction of an Xtreme Clean Team whose main purpose is to “ABC” (always be cleaning) as well as additional sanitizing services when requested by guests.

Details and a video can be found here: https://xtremeactionpark.com/coronavirus-safe-clean/

The initial reopening hours were:

The ABC (always be cleaning) team at Xtreme Action Park

Wednesday-Thursday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 2 p.m.-10 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
